ADVICE:  Remember that the rates advertised by these phone card companies are not always accurate. Advertised rates do not take overhead surcharges into account, and the rates are quoted for one call. However, If you buy a card and realize that the advertised rate is far off from what you actually got, call the customer service number provided and ask for an explanation.  It's your right!

For those with cell phones, you might want to use a card with local-access numbers.  These cards usually have more minutes (ie. because dialing through a 1-800 toll-free number makes a call a little bit more expensive).  Therefore you can use your cell-phone (when you have free minutes of course!), to call the card's local access number instead of the 1-800 number.
